Moral Victory
This is the only time of year that moral victories count because the game results really do not count. You can weigh the starters vs. starters, rookies vs. rookies, no Ben Wallace, etc. all you want. But bottom line, the Celts looked good for the second time this preseason. They did it on the second half of a back-to-back against the defending champs. They did it with fast breaks. They did it while implementing a whole new offense. They did well, and that is encouraging.
Great game by Delonte West. Nice play from the frontcourt of Blount and Raef. Paul was quiet but Ricky was strong. Perkins and Allen were both aggressive again. All things are progressing nicely. Except maybe Marcus Banks. But that will play out over the next few weeks. If there isn't marked improvement soon, I think West will take the backup job right away from him (if he hasn't already).
