Chad Ford covers the NBA and the NBA Draft for ESPN Insider. Ford's also been on the cutting edge of the international basketball explosion, traveling to Serbia, Bosnia, Croatia, South Africa, Israel, Turkey, Russia, Spain, Italy, France and Germany to document the spread of the sport around the world.
He is also a frequent contributor to ESPN the Magazine and makes weekly appearances on ESPN Radio and ESPNEWS. Before joining ESPN in 2001, Ford was the co-founder and executive editor of sportsTALK.com.
Ford grew up in Kansas City, Mo., cheering for the Kansas City Chiefs, Royals and KU Jayhawks. Ford earned a juris doctorate from Georgetown University in 2000, a masters degree in conflict analysis and resolution from George Mason University and an undergraduate degree in history and political science from Brigham Young University - Hawaii.
