Movin On Up Links
"Movin' on up" ...you know, the Jeffersons. Jefferson is movin' on up. Aww forget it, if you have to explain a joke...
- Jefferson article in Hoopsworld
- Surprises & Disappointments (Full Court Press)
I thought I had more, but that's all I got for now. Kinda slow lately really. I guess there are few people that want to write about an 11-19 team.

I like that surprises and disappointment article. I actually think he could have elaborated a bit on those.
With regards to Jefferson, did anyone else see the stat listed during the Blazers game on NBAtv? It stated that Big Al was one of only 6 players in the entire nba to average a double double over the month of December? He was in the crowd of Boozer, Garnett, J O’neal, etc. Great to see Big Al being aggressive.
It is a bright future to have someone like Big Al anchoring the future with double doubles and the first post play in a long time.
Hamilton, 20/10’s is one of those stats that very few players achieve. The fact that AJ has had a few of those so early in his career is a credit to his skills.
The scary thing about it is he still has a lot more he can learn. The up and under he has is awesome, but wait till he gets a drop-step. Hopefully, someone on the coaching staff can teach Jefferson and the PG’s how to run a pick and roll, that would add a few more easy buckets to his game.

The Hoopsworld article is a plagiarization
of the wikipedia page on Al Jefferson
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Al_Jefferson
including content from previous edits. It doesn’t
speak very well of the journalistic standards at
Hoopsworld.

Just to follow up, 4 players are averaging a 20/10 right now in the NBA (Duncan, Garnett, Boozer, and Randolph). Obviously Jefferson isn’t doing that now, but he’s definately capable of those kind of stats.
The only problem is only 1 of those current guys has a ring.

I agree, ManUp. I still exspect a trade but, Hopefully Pierce is watching these games and relizing what these guys have and don’t have. Even though these games were losses I do think they will give Pierce more confidence in some of these guys. If somehow we can get strong PG gaurd play, and either one other big steps up or we get a PF/C (GASOL)to go with Al, this could be a tough team down the stretch.
i definately think when Pierce comes back we will be a much improved team from before he left because of the development of all the younger guys especially Al, however i definately think it will be too little too late for two reasons: 1. Doc Rivers is our coach and apparently will be for the rest of the season. We will never win anything significant with him at the helm (too little). 2. By the time PP gets back we are gonna be like 15 games under .500 and that is a pretty deep hole to try to climb out of to possibly make the playoffs even in our crap division, especially with Doc Rivers (too late).
I have been thinking that PP isnt really injured. I have a theory that this is just a way for them to develope their young guys AND tank the season in the best draft year in as long as i can remember. Thats why they havent fired Doc so far because it is SO obvious he is not the right person for the job but it doesnt matter because they are not trying to win anyways. This season is all for 2007-2008. It just makes too much sense to me. And Paul is a warrior – he doesnt get injured.

With Telfair at Point and Al at center might as well role out the carpet. Perk makes a big difference in this respect. Am concerned tonight. Between Z, Gooden, Varejo and Marshall could be a tough night in the paint.

Most of you probably saw this in the recent Celtics Beat email but it fits this topic too well not to mention. Right down to the title. Enjoyable and for those of us who believe this man will save us all from shame, uplifting.
