Case of the Mondays Links
Lets see, the team has lost 7 straight and matches up with a team that we haven't beat since they won the Duncan sweepstakes over us. The media will take a few days to analyze the Pats season, then there will be nothing else but wailing and moaning about the Celtics until Spring Training starts. Wonderful. Its cold, I'm tired, and a long week awaits. Lets rock.

Don’t underestimate the New England sport media- they will be analyzing the Pats’ season until the next season starts. The NBA in general and the Celtics in particular are barely a blip on the local press radar, and memories of the Patriots will always get primacy over anything current with Basketball…
I give credit to telfair taking the credit/blame for him demotion. hopefully he can do something about it

I gained some respect for Telfair with those comments.

Gasol?
If we get Gasol, wouldn’t they be asking for Jefferson or Green? Where would that leave us?
Right back where we’re at, looking at Meritocracy at best until Wally and Paul return. My thoughts on Gasol have diminished greatly. He’s a good player, but is he the difference presently for us getting into the playoffs or is he someone who will make us good, but find ourselves with the 12-15 pick in the draft.
Those are the things to consider.
I’ll take my chances currently with our youths and there development. They’ve shown great promise and upside even though this team isn’t winning.
The future is bright with West, Allen, Jefferson, Green, Rondo, and I include Perkins. Before I would have jumped at the chance to get Gasol, but at what cost now.
Chicago of all the teams has strength to deal in all this, especially with a first round pick of the Knicks.
Danny should just stay the course with this team.
As much as I would love to make the playoffs, I would rather we build to win a championship team instead. Just making the playoffs as many have mentioned is not a guarantee to winning a championship.
My thoughts are continue the building process to lead us to championships year after year.
It’s mind-boggling to me that Telfair can’t figure out why his minutes have evaporated—almost as mind boggling as the fact that the reasons why he’s riding the pine haven’t been communicated to him by someone on our nine man, multi million-dollar coaching staff.
It’s called defense, Sebastian. D-E-F-E-N-S-E. Got it?
In our myriad of assistant coaches, do we have one to teach individual, one-on-one defense? Telfair has the individual skills to be at least an average defender — his size will always be against him — he’s just never learned how (and he is still quite young, so there’s time). For the time being, I liked the distribution of PG minutes in the last game.
Well, Doc needs to go. Danny deserves to go, but at least he can spot talent (except coaching talent).
But it won’t happen. Grousback doesn’t have the cojones. Maybe Wyc can work on keeping his wife out of the locker room and then begin to tackle a few larger issues, such as the proper number of cheerleaders or the proper shade of green for Lucky’s tie.
How can you not want Gasol? IF you don’t have to give up a lot to get him (Perkins, Telfair, the #1 from Cleveland and Ratliff’s contract) he would be a huge asset. A team with Pierce, Gasol and Jefferson would have a real shot to make some noise in the playoffs. I seriously doubt we could get him that cheap but almost any deal where we can get him and keep Jefferson and Pierce has to be considered.

Brickowski
I thought his wife and her friends were the cheerleaders!
That was embarrassing once I read the article. Couldn’t she have waited till the media left and players got dressed.
Goes to show you how much they care about the show more than a winning product on the court.
What’s next, Lucky in a skirt!
At this point I don’t want a trade. Keep Doc, continue to play injured players, get big AL his 15 shots a game, develop the youth especially Green and Rondo. Take your chances with the draft. Play out the string. If worse comes to worse, off season type trades could be considered after the draft is final.
