We're Just About Due
Pounding the Rock | Game Thread | Chat Room |Â Box ScoreÂ
We've lost 7 straight. We've lost 18 straight against the Spurs.  I'd say we have the Spurs right where we want 'em. I predict a win tonight.

As long as Duncan as playing, you can pencil in the L.

We match up suprisingly well. Rondo could contain Parker, and Bowen can’t stop gomes. Green and Manu are a wash. Duncan > Jefferson. Perkins > Oberto…

Well – if they’re going to win one, you’d like to it be a game like this, against a great team. Those build more character IMO than beating a team like Atlanta.

Also, I’m not worried too much about the kids not experiencing the thrill of victory. I’m more worried about getting losses while we can. Eventually, some day, Pierce will come back. We’ll get our share of wins at that point. Yeah I know, it would be good for us to win a couple without the veterans there to help, but I’m sure if the kids are having trouble winning next year Greg Oden can remind them of how it feels.
Spurs will route us tonight.
We do not have enough offense and the turnovers will kill us.

Is there such a thing as hope springing MORE than eternal? If so, THAT’s the case with Jeff!
LOL.
To quote Aerosmith: “Dream on…”
Or maybe better, to quote “Diner”:
Boogie: “You know I got plans.”
Bagel: “Always a dreamer, hey, Boog?”
Boogie: “If you don’t have good dreams, Bagel, you got nightmares.”
i dont believe green/manu is a wash… not yet, though the ceiling is higher for gerald..
ive been calling for a win in this series for years… i dont think they’ll do it, but i’ll watching, waiting and hoping… itll be a party on the blog if it happens

I think we play better than most teams expect: call it the nothing to lose theory. Final score: Spurs 99- Celts 94.

Whoa what are you smoking? At least I get to watch my third Celtics game of the season thanks to 1 week of free NBA League Pass.

You aren’t serious are you? We are currently down 20. Rondo contain Parker? BWa hahahahaha. Bowen “can’t stop” Gomes Perkins is better than Oberto?!?!?! Man, what are you on???? I’m actually watching this game with my own two eyes… and we stink.

In watching this game I have to say…what a joy it is to watch an unselfish team, play good team defense with every man in to it, see ball movement and pick and rolls used until they work, boxing out and rebounding and lastly a well coached team.
:P Sadly not our own team but boy do the spurs play a complete game. Some people had put tim duncan on their most hated list because he is boring :o How I wish he was a celtic or popovich was our coach.
Great team, hope within 3 years we can play at that level.
I hope we can all agree on how much Telfair blows. Good to see him on the bench where he belongs.

Rainman, I was all ready to sit down and enjoy the draft with my ribs, beer, etc and heard what Danny did witht the #7 pick getting Telfair and I was physically sick.
I predicted a Spur win by 5 points tonight, I should have been in Vegas.

We still have a ways to go IMO. Yes close games the last couple we’ve played but in both cases these teams had the game in hand before they let up. Granted, great effort for not folding up like a card table but still, we aren’t quite as close as one might think.
