Sixers Coverage:   Passion and Pride

Possible Starters:
Celtics:  Rajon Rondo, Ray Allen, Paul Pierce, Kevin Garnett, Kendrick Perkins
Sixers:  Andre Miller, Andre Iguodala, Willie Green, Reggie Evans, Jason Smith

Game Notes:
For the second game in a row, Boston is facing one of their division rivals. As with the Nets, the Celtics will have to go through the Sixers if they are to win the conference.  So far in the preseason, they are winless but that could make them more dangerous.  The Sixers are going in the opposite direction from the Celtics. While the Celtics chose to keep their star and build around him, the Sixers traded theirs and chose to rebuild. And unlike the Celtics, the Sixers have been fairly inactive this offseason.

This is the time of the preseason when coaches experiment with their lineups so, it is possible that the lineups may change. With the Celtics having 4 games in 5 nights, Doc has said that he probably won't play KG, PP, and RA in every game. Or, it is possible that he will start them and then play them fewer minutes. With the starters only playing one quarter against the Nets, they will more than likely start and play in this game. The Herald said they will more than likely play in 8 quarters in the next 4 games and may sit out either Monday or Tuesday. With KG, RA, and PP probably starting,  this game should be in hand early and so expect to see a lot of the bench in this game.

Espn Classic might be showing a rerun of the George Brett pine tar incident tonight, Po. At least you have an alternative.

I think that scene with George Brett accurately portrays what PO must have been doing when he found out he didn’t have the games

If only there was someone specific to coming charge out of the dugout at!

On the plus side, Oh Great One, you only missed half of the C’s vs the Nets’ summer league team yesterday and you didn’t have to pay $20 to park.

the sixers have some good offensive talent and some talented defensive players so if they can mesh some talent they could be a surprise this year and next year will be a much better team

The Celtics will really develop their bench this week I feel the starting 5 have a good idea how to pass to each other. Look for House, Scal, Baby, Pruitt, Powe to develop as the backup team. I think Posey, Tony A. and Pollard will play with the starting 5 and will be the 1st subs when the season begins. Then the 2nd unit will go in all together.

All due respect to the Celtics but if they aren’t going to play their exhibition games in a decent facility or play Pierce and KG; I ‘m not sure I wouldn’t prefer to watch the KU Jayhawks or K-State in football this evening.

Okay, I get it, Philly with the exception of Dalembert through the starter at us and we sat our frontline for the whole game.

Let’s cut to the chase: We have a solid 8: Perk, KG, PP, Posey, R and T Allen, and House.

Four spots for top 12: At this time its Pruitt, Scal, Baby, Powe in no specific order. Put Pollard on injured list. No need to wait, cut D. Jones and Maunuel or send them to D-league with Wallace.

I didn’t expect a win against their starters but we need to be more competitive bench wise.

When will people learn that sending guys to the DL is not the same as cutting them (read: you still need 15 or less on your roster). Or that 4-year veterans are not eligible for DL.
