Another excellent piece of jounalism by Steve Weinman…“Actually considering Toine back in green”… Nostalgic in tone, brutal in honesty and romantic in foresight. Recommended reading!

As much as I like ‘Toine I don’t think there’s a place for him here. If he’s bought out and waived and we can get him for short $‘s and time, maybe because of his offensive rebounding. But I don’t think ‘Toine would play this role. Also, loved KG’s comments about Perk. Perk should take big advantage of KG. Some funny stuff could come out of this. I can just see KG chaufering Perk to wherever Perk wants to go.
Re TrueGreen…“As much as I like Toine I don’t think there’s a place for him here”…
If that’s an example of an endorsement for a player that you DO like, what pray tell would you say about a player that you DON’T like?
Just kidding, but your slip is showing…er, I mean your gift for DIPLOMACY runneth over…

Re MetroWest Daily….“Perkins proves worth”… In all of jounalism, probably the weakest argument for a player’s worth based on one’s ABSENCE from the scene of the crime. The two losing efforts by the Celtics probably had more to do with their “collective” poor play than the presence or absence of any one player.
When you come up short (as a team) BOTH offensively and defensively it says more about team readiness than one missing “domino”. Offensively our guys couldn’t hit the side of a barn door, ball and player movement were negigible, one on one and help defenses were on vacation, and coaching seemed ill equipped to remedy the situation. Those were the reasons we lost and NOT because Perk was on the shelf!
If Perk is our “missing piece” let that be evident by his on court performance rather than “fabricate” his worth through a sophist argument based on his ABSENCE!
