Pretty sloppy game imo, We had alot of careless TO’s, but we won so that’s always a good sign. Pierce played great, had some great rebounding in the game.

C’s didn’t seem to take this game serious—until Tinsley did his usual hack job on Pierce…Good to see Pierce respond the right way.

pp and defense won this game . posey is a stud and what guts. coming back after the back spasms and taking all those hard charges- he’s the man. pollard earned himself a paycheck – knew what he was doing. scal was mobile. ray a is the third man theme but what a smooth sucker- not a great night but they needed him in the 2nd half and he gave it. i think doc left the 1st team out there too long in the third period. he has other players he can use for small stretches and they need the touches.
The solution for poor play, Doc needs to smack these guys in the head. First Scal comes back after a concussion and drops 9 in the first half against the Pacers.
Then Pierce who looked listless to start the game, got burnt going down the court to defend his guy, etc gets smacked upside the head driving to the hoop in the 2nd Q. He tears of his Celtic jersey and becomes Superman for crying out load.
Ray Allen goes scoreless the first half, and I admit I don’t see this but I hear Doc smacks him upsdie the head. Ray Allen comes out 3rd Q and drops 12 points in 6 min.
Smack the heck out of these guys if you have to Doc, just keep those wins coming.

Nets up next, 2d game of a back to back. those heavy minutes for GPA and the lack of minutes for the bench are gonna tell, if not tomorrow then down the line when it counts the most, if Doc keeps this up

Doc, drop a baker’s dozen on the NBA. Let’s go 13-0 to start it off and then lets cut the Big 3 back to about 35 min.
Our bench is a lot better than the so called experts think and I think to a certain extent they can hold their own verse others 6 to 10 rotation players.
Everyone looks fresh and is having a ball but it is only mid-Nov. Let’s not continue this pace and then wonder 2/3 into the season why we look stale.
Use your noggin Doc. Put the hammer down but after we have a baker’s dozen call the dogs off, and if we are up by 15 late, give the big 3 a break.

Pollard looked okay tonight and it appears he can hold the fort. We were up by mostly 9 to 13 all second half. I think we should have found 5 min. for Baby during the 2nd half. Even if Indy cut the lead to 5, I neve felt like we were in serious jeopardy of losing. After 13 games, Doc needs to coach in that type of fashion.
For various reasons the Mavs were not prepared for the playoffs despite being the best in the reg. season and lost to the 8th seed. Don’t let history repeat itself Doc.
Don’t get me wrong, I am happier than a pig in you know what now, I just don’t want to look back on a failed post season and have to say I told you so.
We’ve got the golden goose, we can’t afford a Wally sideward trade or Telfair draft deal type move from management or coaching.

And the hits keep coming to our sister teams- Minny/Seattle who we traded with this off season. They are a combined 0-13. Oh how the worm has turned.
And to the poster asking about the Knicks, it is Stephen Marbury that missed the morning shoot around and game for the Knicks.

Look at all the empty seats! :o That was my initial reaction to the photo of KG about to turn on O’Neal.
Actually, if things had turned out a tad differently early on for Jim O’Brien, he might’ve had Jermaine O’Neal, Jamaal Tinsley and Troy Murphy in Celtics uniforms… Man, I couldn’t be happier about the present!

I’m not at all worried about the minutes. PP is at 38min/game, Garnett is playing 39min/game and Allen is averaging a little over 40; which is exactly what all three have been doing for the last 4-5 years! Doc is not increasing their playing time substantially (the overtime alone accounts for the slightly elevated levels compared to their respective career averages); he’s using them at the minutes they’ve been comfortable playing at. This is the right move for a team that needs to establish its identity and its confidence that it can meet the high expectations. You don’t mess with veterans’ routines unless there are existing injuries or conditioning issues – of which there are none right now. And even if you wanted to take preventive measures because of their age (which is ridiculous anyway; they’re only 30-32) then they can coast through the middle part of the season after they’ve established a healthy division lead.
The officials must’ve thought Paul was Lebron with some of the ridiculous calls Paul was getting. Pacers got absolutely hosed by the officials. Surprised Obie wasn’t more demonstrative. That being said, we’d have won anyway. But the game would have been a lot more interesting. Against a strong rebounding team, this is a game they could have used Davis. Davis gets the normal Rivers tip of the cap for a job well done against NJ. Why bother if he’s going to play him 55 seconds?
Hope House is okay.
Buckner may be a bit of a homer, but he’s an excellent commentator.
I would have never known Allen was 6-18. Every time the ball leaves his hands it looks like it’s going in.
This is fun to watch.
I agree on Quinn Buckner’s commentary, very good.

I didn’t like Buckner all that much, but I think I’m just getting used to league pass and hearing other teams home guys.
