someone hurt?

Both Ray Allen and Tony Allen are banged up, and are listed as day-to-day.

It’s much more valuable to Pruitt if he’s playing than if he’s getting jacked around. Hopefully he’ll at least get some minutes if he’s worthy of getting called back so quick.

If the team needs him to sit on the bench…that’s reason enough to “jerk him around.”
With Tony Allen; “hardly being able to walk,” from the thigh bruise, I wouldn’t expect him to dress for a few games anyway.

Hobbs what’s wrong with Ray Allen?

Hobbs what’s wrong with Ray Allen?

From the same link above:

“Both Allens, Tony and Ray, sat out practice today. Tony Allen left Saturday’s game in the first half with a bruised thigh, while Ray Allen rolled his ankle. Allen is resting and getting treatment on his ankle. Both players are considered day-to-day for Tuesday’s game vs. the Cavaliers in Cleveland.”

RA will play – Tony probably will not. I still doubt that means any minutes for Pruitt despite the call up – it’s likely they need the body in practice more than anything else.

You are only allowed send a player to the D-League twice in the same season right?

Very odd direction.

I wanted him to get some NBA experience before his D-League stint so I’m happy but perplexed.

Pruitt made a statement in the D league if only for two games. Good for him and good for Danny maybe finding talent again at the 5 & Dime of the 2nd round. I didn’t know there was a limit as you pointed out, Who, to the call-ups.

Inside Hoops has this:

NBA-to-NBA Development League Assignment Rules:

- An NBA team may assign any player on its Active List or Inactive List to play in the D-League, provided that the player has zero or one Years of Service at the time of Assignment.

- No players may be given more than three Assignments during any season. There is no minimum or maximum length of a D-League assignment.

- During the 2005-06 season, no NBA team may have more than two players on assignment at the same time.

- A player on Assignment will be carried on the Inactive List of his NBA Team.

So it looks like Pruitt can be sent to the D-League three seperate times. Three is enough flexibility. I was concerned if it were two times max, because that would reduce options after his call back so early in the season.

Pruitt should get some PT against Cleveland. House will probably slide over to SG in place of Tony Allen.

It’s a good time to see if Pruitt can contribute this year, even a little.

I would sit out Ray. Maybe there’s a reason his shot has been so shaky. Tony has a bruised thigh from a Charlie horse he can man up from that. Give Tony or Posey the start and see what Tony does with some extended PT.

The C’s are going to need some help at point guard. Rondo does many nice things but solid point guard play is not his strength yer. The same for House. It would be a good time to see what Pruitt can do in case he’s actually needed due to injury later in the season.

I’d like to see if he can defend the likes of ‘Boobie’… ;D
