Interesting comments from Perk in Perkisabeast article about last year’s guys playing for themselves and not for team. I think that is just a problem with young guys who are trying to find where they fit in the league. I think they are trying to show themselves, maybe more than others, what they can do. In addition, TA was trying to come back from an injury and doing the same thing. It will be interesting to see how all the teams that decided to go young do. This stuff probably all works itself out in time, but it just shows how hard it is to build a team now. SA, Detroit and Miami will soon be faced with this problem.
It’s scary. I don’t think the C’s played that well last night. The Wizard’s decided to not double team and did a good job sticking with their men. The C’s hadn’t faced this in preseason. Because of that defense there was more dribbling, less ball movement and more one on one play. The C’s were just playing off the defense the Wizards showed them. It worked for awhile, but I don’t know of that many teams that can defend this way and not get hurt by someone on the C’s. Once they double team they are really done. It was also great that the defense sustained the C’s till they figured things out. This will be quite a ride.
