Boston Celtics @ Miami Heat: 11/30/07 - Open Game Thread
I'm going right from work to a basketball game and won't be back until 7:00 at the earliest. So I didn't have time for the game preview. Alas. Of course that is due in part to staying up so late to try and make sense of the Knicks. We'll have to settle for an open game thread for now. The Heat definitely strike me as the kind of team that is capable of anything. Meanwhile, even though last night was not much of a contest, tonight still counts as the second of a back-to-back. And LeBron is in town on Sunday. So let's hope the guys, and yes that includes you James Posey, don't hit Miami Beach too hard after the game.
Go Celtics!

Let's hope the 4th was back-to-back fatigue
Granted, Pablo and Ray both played 29 mins on Thursday, and KG called it a night after 22, but it seems far more comforting to believe that than to consider that for the second time in two weeks, the Celts almost blew a gargantuan lead against this Miami team.
Ultimately, it all goes back to what I said the other day about perspective. The fourth might not have been our best quarter of the season, but we're +10 on the scoreboard for the night, and most importantly, +1 in the win column, which is all you can do on any one night.

Didn't realize
To that end, since I'm not in Beantown and had the national telecast, I thought JVG did a great job last night (more on this to come at TittR on Saturday).

It's the NBA
As big of a fan of Tommy as I am it is shocking how different things are when a different announcing team calls the game. It wasn't until Thursday on TNT that someone finally said Glen Davis can't jump. And I like Glen Davis.
