More on Perk's Injury
"Man, that's a weird story," Perkins said after practice Tuesday. "I was asleep. I guess whoever put my bed together didn't put it together right when I moved, so one side of my bed fell. My bed was tilted, so I got out of my bed to go push down on the other side.
"And when I was about getting ready to push down on the other side, the headboard started coming in. So I tried to push the headboard back so it wouldn't fall over. My foot was under the bed and the other side of the bed fell on my foot."
X-rays were negative, but Perkins watched practice Tuesday and was limited to riding a bike and other non-basketball activities. He is averaging 7.3 points and 4.8 rebounds per game.
You just can't make things like this up. Considering Larry Bird's back problems began from using a snow blower to clear his sidewalk, I guess truth is sometimes stranger than fiction.

Didn’t Greg Minor hyperextend his leg from sleeping weird and never really recover? And I kind of remember never nervous Pervis out of service when he dropped furniture on his foot b/c he was too cheap to hire movers…Although I think Radmanovic in lala land is the best story, as he said he slipped on ice, yet really had a snowboarding accident
The x-rays were negative so perk’ll be OK. I’d like to see Baby start. I think it would be a good experience for him. Even Scal against Miller isn’t so bad. Miller likes to sit up top and shot open threes as long as there’s someone on him it’ll be fine.

Except that Brad Miller is a few inches taller than the not-so-lengthy yet very earthbound Scal. He’ll shoot right over the top of Scal and I’ll be cursing the TV set like it was last season. :-\ I hope I’m just being pessimistic.

That’s just a strange way for Perk to get hurt. Let’s keep our toes crossed he recovers quickly.
