A thought about Ray Allen. It’s being said he’s in a shooting slump. He’s not hitting the three’s. But we’re also seeing that Ray is much more than a spot up three point shooter (at least I am). I don’t think he’s in a slump at all. He just continues to do things to help the team win. A theory on his missing his three’s: I haven’t seen much of him before now, but could it be that because he’s playing harder on defense that it’s taking something out of his legs and affecting his three’s? Is he becoming more of a playmaker and going to the basket more? Whatever, I just love to see this guy play.
I love the article “Mitchell a great judge of greatness”. After so many years of listening to the “experts” criticize KG, without knowing a damn thing about him other than he missed the playoffs or struggled in the first round, it feels pretty damn good to hear from a respected NBA pro and coach that really knows what KG is all about.
And as much as I like Al Jefferson and the potential of Randy Foye… that Wolves team is in A LOT of trouble. KG masked a severe lack of unity, identity, team chemistry, and solid coaching. They won 40% of their games last year (32 of the 76 KG played) with Mark Blount as their starting center, Ricky Davis and McCants disrupting the offense, a rookie point guard, and Trenton Hassell, who can’t even get minutes now in Dallas.
