well… at least it’s one more chance for him to get hurt again

Who knows? Maybe some team looking to make the playoffs will start believing Wally is just what they need coming off the bench. That’s reason enough to trot him out there against the Bucks. Who’s he going to guard, though? Ruben Patterson, Charlie Bell, Mo Williams, or Earl Boykins? Some Bucks player’s eyes are going to be lighting up.

I cant understand some of the comments about Wally in this blog. Apart from Pierce, is there any other Celtic player able of scoring 20 points a season?
Of course he has had a lot of injuries, the same as Tony Allen (how many games did he play last two seasons?) and Jefferson.
Gerald Green is now 1000 miles away from Wally.
wally is a good player when he’s healthy but he’s not healthy.. i think that is what people are saying…
i agree with them… dont play him when he’s not healthy. give him another few weeks rest then let him come back 100%. same with perk!
for christ sake, why try to squeeze out a few extra wins at the expense of your players health? so we can get #3 instead of #1 or #2?

Actally, I think they all have scored 20 points so far this season. Heck, even a broken down, balding and overweight relic like Master Po could probably score 20 in a season. ;D I understand what you were saying Galiza Ceive, just having some fun with Po. :D

Wally and Paul will play tonight in order to save Doc and Danny’s jobs. They are not healthy and should rest for a couple weeks. Their seasons are in jeopardy because of Doc’s stubborness that can only lead to putting their health in risk.
That said, i’ll enjoy watching them together for the first time in 2007

What’s not to understand? Wally has been useless on this team. When he gets the ball he looks to shoot everytime, never passes, makes slow unnecessary drives in which he turns the ball over and complain about not getting a foul, and he cant play defense. He was an awful aquisition for this team. He plays the same position as our best player and is holding back the young wings from minutes. He should be resting til after the all-star break and maybe even longer until he is 100% healthy. Then just maybe he might be able to make some shots.

It is a mark of how low this franchise has descended that after the Celtics beat the mediocre at best (and now undermanned) Bucks tonight, that achievement will be hailed as a “big win.”
And then, after the All Star break, the Celtics will take to the road and begin a new losing streak.
Having lost a heartbreaker to Dallas last night, and missing four of their top six players tonight, there is just no way that Milwaukee beats Boston this evening. Then again, the Celtics do have their stealth weapon, Doc Rivers. As unlikely as it may seem, the streak may live another day.

Well, we’re beginning to put some light between ourselves and the Grizz. Tonight won’t be easy, but with Doc at the controls, we’ll find a way. After tonight, running the table and 50 in a row will be there for the taking.
