Chat Party - The Gerald Green Show

GreenI fully expect all of you fine folks to either join us in the chat room or on the Dunk Contest "gamethread" for the dunk contest. The festivities will start at around 8ish , but I'm sure we'll have to sit through some lame 3 ball tourney or something like that before getting to the main event.

Yes, I know the dunk competition has been pretty lame itself in recent years, but I'm really hoping Gerald can return some vibe to the night . He was made for this and we've been waiting for this for a year and a half. Lets enjoy it.

I thought about live-blogging the event, and I still might jot down some thoughts for a recap, but I think I might enjoy the chat room back and forth more than a one-sided conversation that only sounds funny to me.

He should start out with some variation of that “Blackjack Dunk” as moving any large piece of Vegas-specific furniture onto the court adds some element of drama for the event.

Whatever he does it’s gonna be epic.

I hope Gerald has fun and gives the fans a good show. He has the ability to be spectacular. Next year he can be in the 3 point competition.

I would join you in the chat but I am a last minute entry into the competition itself. The NBA has finally conceeded that I can use a ladder, a trampoline, and a big foam landing mat.

I’m betting he does a 720. Gerald first got my attention when he won the HS slam dunk contest at the McDonald’s All American game. He showed a lot of flair and confidence, along with his hops. I hope he is able to let it all hang out in LV.

There’s no way he doesn’t do a Dee Brown tribute, now that he has signed with Reebok.
