Delonte's Breakup Turns Ugly

In no way am I interested in becoming a gossip blog, so this gives me no pleasure to report.Â But it is directly related to the Celtics and is newsworthy in a sad way.Â The Herald Reports:

A night of post-game partying turned ugly for Boston Celtics [team stats] point guard Delonte West when his live-in girlfriend allegedly choked and bit him and tried to slash her own wrists with shards of glass because he dumped her.
Westâ€™s girlfriend, Caryn Taylor, skipped court yesterday where she was supposed to have been arraigned on domestic assault and battery charges for the Dec. 21, 2006, alleged attack in the coupleâ€™s Waltham apartment. A warrant for her arrest was issued, authorities said.

Is it really that surprising that a wierd dude like West would attract a nutjob?

On a serious note though, I can’t imagine watching someone try to kill themselves. Must have been very unsettling for West. Glad he dumped her. Anyone notice this girl is 31 years old?

BTW Bankshot, I missed Marcus Banks last night. I guess they didn’t show the Suns warming up on TV.

She wasn’t trying to kill herself. When she went to the hospital the wounds were superficial. She was just trying to make a scene to embarrass West, and she succeeded.
