Since Loy’s Place and Celtics Green have weighed in and said it makes sense for Doc to come back next year, it’s time for Celticsblog to come out with a strong statement to the contrary. We do not need Doc back, under any circumstances (and certainly not with a contract extension). Don’t let a mini-rally against the dregs of the NBA fool you; Doc is not a good coach, and never will be.
Something else to credit Rondo with. Doc said in the pregame that he wanted to see Rondo get to the line more, beause he had the speed to get more calls than he has.
As the Metrowest Daily News noted, “Other than his eight free throw attempts in New Jersey on March 3, Rondo made only two trips to the foul line in his last eight games entering last night.”
So in just 26 minutes last night Rondo led the team in both ft attempts and ft’s made, at 7-9.

Actually, I have a ton of articles on Loy’s Place on why Doc should go. I personally believe he should go – see my article on Loy’s Place yesterday http://celticsgreen.blogspot.com/2007/03/stuff-of-which-nightmares-are-made.html
I posted this today in the interest of fairness since I have posted many times why I feel he should go. Trying to post both sides of the argument. Since I don’t have any good arguments why he should stay, I posted Eja’s thoughts.

Good job on the daily posts. I pick and choose when I see them, but always a great source of information.
