about GGreen….I could name about 4 players currently 21yrs/old (Green’s age) who are playing at a higher-level than Green is….and I am not even including previous season where 21yr/old’s, were burning it up….including PP..
you can use the “high school” argument for about just so long, and after that……..
..make or break summer for GG…
You say “experiment”; I say “tank.” Allen Ray at the point? Who is he trying to fool? He’s got Rondo coming on strong, and Telfair in MAJOR need of a confidence boost, and he pulls this one? C’mon, Doc, who gave you these marching orders?
What a circus. This is embarrassing. Doc officially becomes M.L. Carr with this “party line.”
Now I really, truly, honestly want him canned, even if management sees him as the perfect coach — for the rest of the season.
Please pray we get a real coach. I hate to sound like a reflexive Doc hater, but seriously, next year, with a lottery pick on board and most players healthy, we’ll need a top-flight coach to kick this thing into high gear.
“Experiment.” Too funny.
P.S. Coco, despite my reservations on Gerald, it’s too soon to say something like “make or break summer.” OK, maybe next season is a make-or-break season for Green, but summer? Easy does it. Look at Big Al, who’s clearly a smarter player. It’s taken him some time to get on track, healthy and ready to break out. I think Green, due to his knucklehead ways, needs a fourth year. But he’s showing improvement for sure. He may not be Paul’s heir apparent (who would?), but he still screams potential.
That’s not to say he’s Choice 1 for a trade package, but still…
