LA Blogger Wins KG Derby
Its official. The Lakers have the best shot at KG. I think I'm gonna cry. From now on, I'm rooting for Minnesota to put a good enough team around him so they don't have to trade him.
Special thanks to Henry and the rest of the bloggers that participated. It was a fun exercise and I have finally gotten this whole business out of my system. Maybe we can do it again in the summer for Gasol, Jermaine O'Neal, and others.

I really don’t think that is the best Boston could offer, whereas that is all you can get out of the Fakers without touching Kobe or Walton. Not only that but the C’s giving up an extra unconditional draft pick when we could simply return the pick we got from Minny in the Blo-nut deal. Certainly, the deals as devised would put the Lakers and the bulls on top, but the C’s have a whole lot more to offer than what’s on the table, Tony Allen for one.

ok, assume that he wouldn’t trade Garnett within the conference, so the Bulls bid wins!

KG is getting to the age where I wouldn’t give up a lot for him as the Celtics GM. The reason is that I’m not sure he would put us over the top- he may, but he doesn’t have THAT many years left so I’d want a pretty sure thing.
I love the guy as a player, but he’s not a Center or PG the two slots we still really need.
Makes the most sense for Chicago to get him.
Those trade offers are a joke. Since when does trading two dimes and a nickel get you a top 5-10 player? The Lakers offer is terrible. Some of the others aren’t worth the time it took to type them. Of the lot, which they all stink, the best might be the Bulls’ because of TT, but why would Minny want Nocione as opposed to a Gordon or Deng? Nocione does little for them without a KG, so that move stinks. The Celts is actually the best maybe, only because they’d be taking back all those disgusting contracts (James and Hudson), and would be giving up some cheap guards, Green, and two first rounders with one presumably being this years high lottery pick. Still though, Not sure that is a desirable move as they’d be banking on Green.

I feel the LA deal lacks any future upside. Maybe if they subbed Bynum for Brown it could get Kevin’s attention.
Lamar and Kwame wouldn’t want to be in Minnesota. They may go in body only, not in spirit.
How does that help Minnesota? Does it sell more tickets than Garnett? No.
Minnesota has to sell the public on a rebuild. Once they trade Garnett, McHale has to resign, than the the franchise can go forward and start to heal. The healing will help with a Tyrus Thomas or to a lesser degree GG and a few unprotected picks. Kwame Brown, please.
Your deal makes much more sense Jeff.
when its all said and done I think we’d all be pretty pissed if the Lakers landed KG. I might get sick and throw up all over my keyboard :o

I was watching Jackie Mac Mullan on SportsPlus the other day and she said that she’s very sure that McHale will resign this off season (summer) and that Garnett will be traded. She said that if the C’s do not get pick #1 or #2, Danny could (should) put together a package of the pick, Jefferson, Green and salary contracts to get KG to come play with Paul. Sounds about what it would take to get it done whether people like it or not.
