Reggie Lewis
Today while roaming the vast Internet wilderness I stumbled upon a nice piece about the Reggie Lewis tragedy over at Loy's Place. It makes an interesting connection to Larry Bird and asks an important question - why does Len Bias' death seem to overshadow Lewis'? Lewis actually came to prominence in Boston (Northeastern), played for the C's, made the All Star team, and was a team captain. Perhaps it's because people connect Bias to prolonging the careers of the 85-86 Celtics. Regardless, Reggie Lewis' death was a JFK style moment for me.

Fallen Captain # 35
The old coulda-woulda-shoulda syndrome. Some C's fans over analyze this and it tends to create the continued mystique surrounding Len's potential to be the next franchise player leading us into #17.
Or maybe not.
