I can’t follow this statement from the Telegram:
"No Deal. The 6-foot-10 center-forward could be the teamâ€â"¢s best young trade bait, but the Celtics should hang on to Jefferson, one of the NBAâ€â"¢s best rebounders. Yes, he has trouble on defense, but heâ€â"¢s only 22. His lack of range wouldnâ€â"¢t make him an ideal offensive complement to Oden, if the Celtics are able to draft the Ohio State center, but Oden could help make up for Jeffersonâ€â"¢s defensive woes.
It depends. â€Å"Deal†if the Celtics end up with Durant because theyâ€â"¢re similar players, but Durant is slightly taller and a better rebounder, and he has to be a better defender. â€Å"No Deal†if the Celtics donâ€â"¢t draft Durant.
Deal. But the Celtics must pick up a veteran point guard in return or in another move. Rondo isnâ€â"¢t ready, and Telfair isnâ€â"¢t good enough. No one has more heart than West, but heâ€â"¢s injury prone and not a true point. "

I he saying that if we get Durant we should trade AJ?..Why?, Durant a better rebounder? How? in collage? how does that translate to the NBA? ….oh and by the way, Duant is a bit allergic to the paint, if you haven’t noticed…remeinds me a bit of AW on that regard…ofensively speaking, he lives behind the 3pt line.
We get Durant, then for all the more reason we should keep AJ.
..and one more thing. Could we stop looking for the ever elusive PG solution?…
It’s because it has no sense and the author obviously doesn’t know jack about Jefferson… or Durant.
He’s basically saying that if we get Durant, we should trade Jefferson because they are too similar. Which is obviously ridiculous.
Durant taller and better rebounder than AJ? Durant isn’t even an NBA PF right now. I think this guy should stop reading box scores, and watch some games instead.
