Open Thread On College Basketball
Unlike Bill Simmons, I simply don't have the time to TiVO every significant college game over a 2 month period and attempt to piece together the landscape of the NCAA field. Nor do I really care to. I used to be much more into college ball. Come to think of it, that was when I was in college and had a much more flexible schedule to watch games. However, I made a decision long ago to be an NBA guy (for good and bad).Â
So I must admit that I don't follow college ball too closely. I do love the tournament though, and I might post some impressions here and there, but I won't promise anything in depth.Â
That shouldn't stop you from giving your impressions. Please use this post as a place to discuss Championship Week, bubble teams, and even draft prospects.

I’m with you Jeff. My appreciation of college ball only extends to the point of what affects the Celtics. I’m a fiend for OSU and Texas games this year, and I’ll watch the obligatory Duke-UNC games. But that’s about it. I just think it’s hard to really sink your teeth into it when you know the best players are only going to be there for one or two seasons at best. As soon as you get attached to a good player, he bolts. That makes being a fan of the sport very difficult, in my opinion.
That dang tournament sure is fun to watch though!!
I’ll be rooting for BC (assuming they make it). All things considered they had a fine year, when they could’ve folded, and I really like the way Dudley plays. Hope he manages to find his way as the 11th or 12th man on some NBA team next year.

Dave, I said last season that Dudley will be the best player in the NBA coming out of BC…and after winning the ACC player of the year, I still think he has a relatively bright future in the NBA.
I used to be able to watch college bball all day and night, but the quality just doesnt seem to be the same the last few year. Especially since they added the dumb rule that players must go to college for at least a season before going pro.
