1. Pierce was out for months leading to the 18 game loosing streak, he has played with a swollen elbow since coming back.
2. szerbiak has had ankle surgery out since feb, doc made him play for weeks when it was obvious he was not 100%
3. perkins has played on his foot problem all season (which is making it worse, he needs rest for it to heal)
4. tony allen blew out his knee on a stupid dunk
5. west has been out for back problems and doc has even let him play after knocking his head (idiot) and felt dizzy in games
6. olowakandi has a broken foot, out for most of the season
7. ratliff had back surgery, out for season

this leaves gomes who missed a few games, rondo, green, powe, ray, telfair, jefferson (Who was out for a while after having his appendix out) and scal (out recently with hamstring) who have been relatively injury free.. whose average age is what? 21-22? you can expect them to win games!

I would say the celtics have been tanking ONLY since april 4 (7 games) when they lost to the bucks. In the 10 games before that they beat cleveland, orlando, toronto, san antonio and atlanta.

Here we go Jerry West just stepped down as Memphis GM! Let the Ainge haters be heard.

Peter Vescey gives honorable mention to Al Jefferson and Rondo. While hearing Big Al’s name was no surprise, hearing Rondo’s name listed among the top rookie players gives outside credence to what many Celtic fans already think about Rondo. His emergence as a PG displacing Telfair and Delonte West attests to his suitability and filling thae stat sheet seems to a regular event as well.

We have only to hope that he works with a professional shooting instructor this offseason.
