I the season ended today the Suns would have #5 (from the Hawks), #24 (from the Cavs) and #29.

The Suns could get Durant article made me regurgitate my morning breakfast. Just what we need..3 more first round draft picks instead of an immediate impact future hall of famer to pair with Jefferson for the next 10 years. If we get top 2 pick, we keep it..if not, be prepared for a new GM, a new coach(that might not be so bad) and a few more years of competing for the 8th spot instead of moving to the top of our conference.

Can you imagine Danny trading the number 2 pick and it not working out(which it wouldn’t)for marion and 3 new rookies…he would have trouble leaving his house after that one.

As a Celtics fan here is how I think the spring is going to play out. Oden will prove himself to be the flaky momma’s boy that everyone suspects and turn down millions to stay in college. The Celtics will get the third pick and not even have a shot at Noah. Ainge will then at least be smart enough to know that he has no need or want for Brendan Wright and trade the pick. At this point the cheapskate owners, smelling luxury tax, will insist that Ainge keep Theo’s expiring deal and package the pick with Wally for some overpaid, broken down vet with an expiring contract and a late first rounder that Ainge so loves and covets. It will be one of those NBA trades that makes absolutely no basketball sense and does nothing to help the team but gets made anyway for “financial reasons”. Ainge will then use the late first round pick on some guy you have never heard of from China who won’t be available to play for at least three years because of his obligation to the Chinese Army. The Celtics will then sign West, Jefferson and Allen to extensions to show the fans they are “doing something” and Celtic fans will be treated to the same crappy team next year sans Wally and an angry alienated Paul Pierce. Welcome to being a Celtics fan!! Excuse me while I go find a gas pipe somewhere to suck on.

It was fun reading the wacky trade idea about durant getting traded to the suns, from Boston. It reminded me of our forums lol, but this time i’m glad to see it is someone else coming up with unrealistic steal/trade, rather than us…we are turning the corner as a franchise. Kevin, school is soooo overrated….
