PrintI am not exactly in the Fire Doc Rivers camp but I do not want to extend him either. Some people argue that without the injuries this is a playoff team. I think the injuries obscure the fact that Doc is not a great coach. He is definitely not in the class of say Jeff Van Gundy. I think at some point media skills should only be valued so much. This strikes me as the move that could eventually lead to Danny Ainge's undoing. It seems incredibly shortsighted.
