Good point on Rondo’s jumper. That makes sense… ;D

Extension.In.The.Works. For real?

Finally a science to Rondo’s shooting problems. I hope that this is true and Rondo solves the problem. They should do one for Green and his ball handling next.

Loved Red’s Army article!!

about rondo’s shot, i think he just needs to keep his elbow in. It might help to shoot the ball slightly to the right of his head and not just straight down his line of sight.

Shooting the ball from slightly to the right of my head has helped my shot because it makes keeping the elbow inline pointing at the basket far easier!

if doc gets an extension we are making the knicks look good. PLEASE LET THIS NOT BE TRUE!

Brick wherever your are man, don’t go doing anything dumb apparently Doc is coming back. For next year any way.

My day, my entire season has been ruined with a probable extension to Doc. The entire organization is completely dysfunctional. Ours is to do and die.

by flyfisher on Apr 9, 2007 2:46 PM EDT reply actions

Red’s analysis was spot on! Oh yeah, and Gorman should get a Tommy Point for his excellent observation as well.

by Loyalist on Apr 9, 2007 4:09 PM EDT reply actions

First Doc getting an extension. Whats next? Washed up Tommy Heinson being brough back to call…more like cheerlead, as he provides NO analysis…for another season. This franchise is going down the tubes.

My god, its to the point where Ill be watching womens basketball over the Celtics next season. Go UConn women!

When your team’s website is selling tickets to the NBA lottery….and you are extending your coach’s contract….I don’t know that dysfunctional quite covers it. >:( >:(

by iowa plowboy on Apr 9, 2007 5:55 PM EDT reply actions

Geez, really?! An extension?! Why? Did the owners become James Dolan overnight? So one of the worst seasons in franchise history is rewarded with a Contract Extension?

Yes, injuries were absolutely a factor. But Doc’s early season indecision with the lineups & the inability to close out games definitely cost the team.

Doc seems like a nice guy & he’s probably easy to play for, but that hasn’t gotten him or his teams over the .500 mark or very far in the playoffs.

Isn’t that the measure of a coach?

I wouldnt mind Yi at #3 at all. This guy looks like he has both a)talent and size; and b)charisma. I think he will be quite the player.

Besides Bird’s one season as the Pacers coach, has an NBA starter ever been sucessful coachin the NBA? The better ones all seem to have been role players, 6th men or just career coaches.

If they do give Doc an extension and we do not land Oden or Durant, then I have a hard time thinking about what will want to make me watch them again. Already watched a train wreck this year — I’m not going to spend next season doing the same thing.

by greenkite71 on Apr 10, 2007 12:30 AM EDT reply actions

I will always want to watch the C’s regardless. 3rd pick, trade or Oden/Durant. I’ve been through good owners and a lot of crap but I’ll still follow the team. I’ll always have hope that we’ll get a good management team in place at some point.
