You did a good job scrounging around. This day is too nice to spend much time at the computer today. I think a lot of people are bagging it today.

Anybody else think we’d have been a lot better off with Jackson than Ray??

Think the article on Gerald is right on. It would be interesting to read what the C’s assistant coaches work on with Gerald.

Howard’s contract will be the model for Al’s. I really think Al is a better player than Howard now and will still be in the future.

Al has a back to the basket game. He can draw double teams and score in the half court. Howard really doesn’t do that. He is just an athletic freak who dunks, rebounds and gets putbacks. Jefferson has a better offensive game than Howard. Howard plays better defense though. If Howard is worth the max, it is hard to see how Jefferson doesn’t get at least close to that.

yeah, lets give AL 20M/yr like PP. That will leave heaps of cap space for the other 12 players that are required to fill a roster.

I think the biggest contract any player on the Celtics should get is 10M/yr. if they dont like it then they can go somewhere else. 20 is a joke imo

I think, because of the player-NBA contract there is a max $/year amount that can be given to a player in Al’s situation. I think it’s about $10 mill/year (with set increases each year) with 6 years the max # years. If Al is extended this year it would be for 5 years. Next year is the final year on his present contract and would be counted as 1 year toward the extension.
