Thank you for all you do to fill a huge need on the internet for those of us who just can’t get enough Celtics. Celtics Blog is very special to a lot of people and that is largely because of your efforts (with some help from Bob). You are very special! I can’t wait for the new server!

23 million hits???…. If the CPU can’t count, it could explain why it feels so OVERWORKED!

Wow I was able to log in for the first time in a couple of days. Can’t wait till the new server is up and running…. need to cancel Bob Day’s vacation till this done :D

Are you paying hosting fess to these people? If so, you ought to get a refund. What did they do, hire Doc Rvers as their network administrator?

I think 23 million hits actually means 23 million mouse clicks on links. At least according to the last explanation of why the server was going down. Assume each person clicks on average 1000 times during a month. Then it’s 23,000 users which seems like an order of magnitude too much. Maybe there are more clicks per person or there are many unregistered guests.

I can’t wait for thsi new sever.

i forgot to put in the “do” for all you do.

I was talking to a friend of mine about it (he works with web-site design). He told me some sites like this will only let “memebers” use the site during “peak” times of the day. This cuts down on the people who are using the site without upsetting the long time users. Just an idea…

one hit == one page served

BlueHost needs to get out of the SERVER business if this is the best that they can do….Considering the growing popularity of this web site and the atrocious performance of “BlueHost” as server, I’m now wondering if this mess was orchestrated as a means of sabotaging this site? Jeff, do you have such envious enemies?

23 million ? imagine how many it would be if:

A) the celtics had a winning record AND

B) this wasnt an incredible down period for the NBA following the lottery, before the draft, no free agency, no summer hoop, two games a week.

Its a tribute to this well run website, I hope that it doesnt happen often Ive been reduced to doing work and interacting socially with others over the last couple days.
