Donaghy’s impact long-term will be better officiating with games being called the way they are instead of favoring the stars. They’ll be too under the microscope to have business as usual. Long term, if this is isolated, may be the biggest blessing the game has had in 20 years. Long term, it makes us more competitive in international competition as well. Star players look like they have to adjust to not getting every call when they play outside of the NBA more so than they have to adjust to the different rules.

This will probably cost Paul about a third of his free throws until he adjusts.

Interesting about Mercer. If you remember, he and Billups were both accused of sexual assault for an incident that happened at Walker’s home while Walker wasn’t present. The guy had a lot of talent, but no team every seemed to want to keep him.

it’s the right move for him as well as the celts. He is too small for his position at the 2 guard. He has some talent but he was the 15th guy on our roster and would only haven hindered the development of pruitt and green
