Remember to vote

Hey, guys, for anybody who missed it, we're running a series of "you select the player" polls to determine which active player should be associated with certain post count milestones here on the blog. Today's vote is to determine who will win the coveted position of zero posts. It looks like the oft-injured Theo Ratliff has taken the early lead on this one. Can he hold on, or will one of the Celtics young rookies overtake him? The choice is up to you.

Tonight's vote will end shortly after 7:30pm EST. Make sure to check back regularly; new polls will be posted on a nightly basis until voting is complete. Feel free to post your thoughts in the dedicated thread, or in the comments section below.

UPDATE: Telfair was the clear winner for the title of Mr. Irrelevant. Round 2 voting has commenced, with Brandon Wallace, Glen Davis, Gabe Pruitt, and Sebastian Telfair competing for the first step up from the basement.

Why not simply let posters choose their own associations? Do you think folks crave exalted “Walter Brown” status? I bet most folks here don’t even know who he was.

It’s not negative. I don’t pay attention to the associations. Does anyone? What pupose do they serve?

If you want to increase the number of hits, give a pair of celtics tickets when major milestones are reached.

We’re not all that concerned about the number of hits. We do these things for fun, and because a lot of people like them.

Maybe you should do a poll to determine how many people like them vs those who don’t care.

I agree with Brick…if you’re interested in seeing how many posts someone has, you can check their post total. If their player association is that important to them, they should be able to choose their own.
