Gabe Kahn is reporting from the Vegas Summer League that the Celtics have signed Brandon Wallace. No terms released yet.

i think he has a good chance at making the team, the celtics getting him, could signal a trade where we take less players back; all speculation we will see

Says its a 2 year deal; i would still think its partially guranteed; i too would think this signals the end of allan ray, although if we make a move that we have to trade away a few guys to get less guys back, ya never know

No matter how much ownership riles me, there’s always a player I root for more than others every year. Two years ago it was Ryan Gomes. Last year it was Leon Powe (you GO big guy!) This year it’s Wallace. Crash those boards!

Better a 6’9" sf who can defend and rebound than another undersized SG. I’d be shocked if he gets any minutes on the C’s though. He’d have to beat out Green & Gomes for minutes. It’s NBDL for him barring a trade.

Nice sign, the kid has hops & length that is special for a 3. He looks like he has pretty good form on his perimeter shot, and 4 years of college doesn’t hurt. I agree with whomever it was above that said 6’ scorers are a dime a dozen. You keep the 6’9 freak and dump the 6’ SG. Allen Ray has surprized me, and he deserves kudos for his work, but I keep Wallace.

If Brandon Wallace needs to play minutes this upcoming season then the Celtics are in big, big trouble. What this signing does is make Ryan Gomes even more expendible than he already is. And in the very unlikely event that they keep Gomes, this kid is haded for the D-league.

It’s too bad you couldn’t put Gomes’ head on Wallace’s body. Then you might really have something.
