Tony Allen 65% Ready

In an interview on NECN (scroll to last video on the list under the Instant On-Video player), Tony Allen declared his knee "65%" and said that he's "aiming for November" to be back.  He sounded cautiously optimistic about getting back to full speed.

That doesn't really sound very encouraging to me, but I have to keep telling myself November is still 2 months away.

Tony must be a graduate of the Rick Smits School of Percentages.

That’s OK; 65 percent of Tony Allen plus 65 percent of Brian Scalabrine is almost one and a half players. Our bench will be SWEET!

well…to put it another way…

with TONY ALLEN and SCAL….65 65 = 130

we’d have one FULL player…and one who’s 70% useless…

 :(

From experience and watching pros coming back from ACL reconstruction, an athlete may be 100% after the first year, but will not return close to pre-injury form for at least two years after. Don’t get your hopes up with TA.

i really loved the way ta was playing prior to the big hurt. he’s got long way to go. 65% for an nba player with all the cuts and stops and starts is way not enough. take your time, tony and get it healthy before the big push. your future as a walking human being depends on it.
