So then it looks like we might have to settle with Patterson. There’s no way we can rely on Tony Allen’s knee, and we need Defense, preferable Veteran D if we want to seriously make it deep in the playoffs. These young players outside Kg/Pierce/Allen have not been playing long enough in the nba to know the “little things” about the opposing players in the league. As tarnished as Patterson’s rep is, his presence as a 6th/7th man to pick up the defensive work while one of the “Big 3” is resting, would be a pretty good addition. If that didn’t work out, we would have a trading chip as we have NOBODY right now outside of the big 3 that we could package with a player.
