That was so much fun to watch – I stayed on the phone with my dad for the last 2 innings. Pedroia made an excellent play and Clay kept Coco busy tonight for sure. It just accentuates how valuable Jason Varitek is to this team. The change-up was amazing tonight, he threw three straight at one point and his curve has a nasty break while he can hit 94 with his fastball. Lots to be excited about with his future. Anyway, thanks for appreciating an excellent moment in Boston Sports History with us Jeff.
the last inning was so exciting. i was just watching on tv, but the crowd was cheering on every pitch and you could tell that every single person in that stadium (announcers, audience, Clay, Tito) was nervous. I loved the way he finished the game with a called third strike on a curveball – just a fitting end to a dominating performance. congrats clay!
