I think Mr. Brigham is overating the Bulls talent a tad. Plus I’m not buying that automatically in 4 years we are going to suck.

exactly….we get 2 yrs to try these 3 guys, then ending contracts the next 2 summers to help KG who will be good till God knows when..plus Rondo and who we add in the meantime…one micro fracture to the wrong guy makes EVERY team mediocre…Duncan,Nash,KG,Kobe,Wade ,LeBron…we’re fine

Also, what Brigham fails to mention in saying that Chicago took the better path is the fact that Hinrich(7), Deng(7) and Gordon(3), his so-called mini “Big Three”, were all taken in the top 10 of their drafts because the Bulls were one of the worst teams in the league for so long. They never had a Paul Pierce to keep them from being so bad. The top three young prospects for the Celtics, however were drafted at 15 (Big Al), 18 (Green) and 21 (Rondo). It’s a lot easier to build around young talent when they’re all lottery picks. But it still doesn’t make their way any better because even if they do all stay together, I don’t see Deng, Hinrich and Gordon EVER reaching the status of what Garnett, Pierce and Allen are at now.
