Ray Allen's Ankles - Still Perfect

Scott Souza reports:

"They’ve always been perfect," he said of his ankle condition heading into camp. "I’ve relished being able to be here over the last couple of weeks. The strength coaches - Bryan Doo and Walter (Norton) - those two guys (have been great). I was thinking yesterday that it has been almost a blessing having gone through the surgery that I had having those two guys then thrown in my lap. The things they have been having me do (would have been) challenging my strength even if I didn’t have the surgery.

nice to see this from Allen. The media hype just to stir up controversy gets old. Fans buy whatever a sportscaster says regardless of whether he has any facts to support what he says. I think the only people who are bigger liars than journalists are politicians, and that’s saying a lot.

wally was a class person and would have helped the team if his legs held up. he tried to play as well when you knew he was hurting. let’s hope we get lucky with ray. the bc football team has a new strength coach who has made a difference- let’s hope our guy can do half as well.

Ray Allan was in a clip from the luncheon on FSN yesterday. He warned about thinking the C’s would get off to a fast start explaining that the players need to work together for awhile before they really get to know each other’s tendencies. As an example, he said the KG did not like to get bounce passes. I hope we don’t all get upset if they start the season off slow. What I find great is that basically the whole team is already at work at Waltham getting a jump at developing that chemistry. Allan has been working with Rondo. I really think this is gonna work.
