There really have never been that many point guards that mattered. Magic being by far the best ever. Cousy and JKidd come to mind also. All Rondo has to do is get the ball up and either penetrate or pass off. It doesn’t take a brain surgeon to understand how to do that. Dennis Johnson was really a 2 guard, but could SLOWLY bring the ball up by backing his defender up like a post player would. Most of the time though the first pass from Dennis went to Bird, who was around the half point area or closer in a bit to Dennis. I enjoy Charlie Rosen but he makes a living by badmouthing peeps.
