No Rondo, No Win

Pretty simple really.

hopefully by the playoffs the Cs figure out a way to avoid Ray Allen getting trapped. Seems like it happens 5 times every game.
Cs deserved to lose this one with the poor offense in the 4th quarter and Pierce’s dumb 3pt foul, but god-almighty how do the refs miss the shot clock violation?

One thing Rondo helps out is boards from the pg position like Kidd does.
We are getting beat on the glass like a red headed step child, especially on the defensive end resulting in the paint points.
Also, Pierce got schooled verse Richardson and didn’t due to whoopy tonight either. His fouling the Wizard down by 1 very late in the game on a 3 point attempt with the 24 sec buzzer going off was a killer. Every bit as bad as T. Allen’s Billups foul and worse.
We are allowed 10 hic-ups this season= loses to teams we should normally beat. I am not hitting the panic button yet. And where was Baby’s min. in the 2nd half, and why not Powe when we need the glass help?

Because I will be busy tomorrow I will now give my Rondo gambling tip for tomorrow: after throwing serious lettuce around the casino, management will often give you a “comp”. Please accept that comp and get a back massage at the spa.

Because I want the Celts to go on another 9 game winning streak, one more bonus gambling tip for Rondo:
Just because the ad says, “What happen in Vegas, stays in Vegas”, it doesn’t really mean it stays in Vegas.

I’m beginning to see a correllation between Scalabrine playing 5 minutes and a Celtic loss.

We don’t need a backup PG. We already have one of those in Rondo.
Danny needs to find a way to get Sam Cassell in a Celtics uniform.

Yeah, Tony Allen’s dribbling is simply on a junior high level. It’s awful.

yet another sub par game for pierce?
i mean, i know he ha sent been perfect, but pierce has been one of my favorite surprises this season. i thought it would take him time to adjust to being one of three instead of the man, and commit to defense.
instead hes getting it done , staying within himself, and is the second toughest defender on this teams starting 5. he’s been regualry destroying opposing SF’s games this year.
He did have a bad game tonight, but you sound like hes had 5 of them in a row. he was outstanding in NJ and DET. i could have done with him making better shots in the bobcats loss, but hes not exactly on a string of bad games.
No rondo= no energy. honestly, can we get some playing time for gabe pruitt at the point? i mean, in collage he was pretty good at bringing the ball up. i know this is the nba but eddy house and Ray ray are not here to dribble circles around the other teams PG.
Bad rotation by doc i thought, when you need energy, you go to BBD. perk is not going to get it done on the offensive side when GPA all have a rare day when they all can’t hit the broad side of a barn. when that happens doc, you need to spread the floor and get them open shots. TA and Perk are not going to do that. Perk is terrable on offense, and say what you will about rondo’s jumper, he can still spread the floor because you have to front him, since he can streak to the basket for an easy layup. Tony’s not that guy, tony wants the ball above the circle for one on ones. he doesnt really move without the ball that well. If your goign to go 2 spots light on the roster, you cant hide the only other kid on the bench who has experience as a true PG. Time to see if gabe can back up rondo. do it now so you know by the deadline doc.
crownsy, if you pick up a PG you have to play him over T Allen and/or E. House and I think both of those guys – while not polished ball handlers – are good men on the floor. E. House has never played D this hard and when good Tony shows up, he is a REAL spark. All additions are not net plusses. I agree to force feed Pruitt some minutes. I think he has more potential than Orien Greene (one name that has come up on this blog). This blog site, remember, has to have something to talk about and at 30-5 it gets tough and PG may be our weakest position (Perk/Pollard/BBD are not all-world at the 5 either, but they are getting the job done) You don’t mess around with the chemistry this team currently has.
I didn’t agree with letting B Walllace go either but at this point I would be crazy to 2nd guess Danny. I think he’s keeping the spots in case someone goes down.
right wild, but you don’t have to play either of those players at the point, nor do they look comfortable their. both those guys are SG’s more than PG.
Plus, doc seems to love to wear ray ray out, even coming off rest for injury’s, doc plays him 40 sometimes. should leave lots of days off for TA to start at the 2 as the season progresses.
