Simply The Best

Woke up this morning with a smile on my face. We've got the best record, only lost 3 games, and came back to beat all the teams that beat us including the 2nd best team in the East. They don't raise banners for this, but it feels good nonetheless.

As a team, we learned alot last nite. We learned that if they want to be physical we can do that to. Besides the obvious that may have been the difference in the game. We weren’t playing physical early on, but when we got up in their faces it took them out of their game. We also learned a way to defend Billups. Play alot of guys up in his face. In the 4th quarter Ray Allen did a terrific job defending him. We learned that we have the heart to win tough games. Doc has talked alot about finishing quarters and games. I think we did all that last nite. Not to make too much of it, but it was a great win, especially in that atmosphere.
I was at the Palace last night, took alot of grief early as my son was wearing the PP34 jersey and i had my celts green tee on. Was nice to crow after the game!
Leaving Tony Allen i to handle the ball in the last 2 minutes sacred the bejeebers out of me and almost cost us the game. Piston fans were crying about the refs too. BBD can make layups, Perk can’t! Both played good defense last night.
What’s up with Rondo? Needs to use hi left hand on layups from the left side – and you guys complained about Delonte’s right hand LOL!

Glen Davis was a machine last night.
He wasn’t scared to bang low and produced.
That’s clearly what put’em over the top.
I still am in shock that they actually won last night.
I know they’re good, but I was very worried about a let down last night.
They proved me wrong, thankfully, and should now be rated #1 in all the power rankings.
Awesome game last night. Rondo needs to lay the ball in, not spin it off the backboard. He missed three layups last night trying to be fancy. Alot of people have asked the question, “Are we sad we had to give up Al Jefferson?” We didn’t give him up at all. He just changed his name to Glen Davis!!!! It is scary to see how much better Big Baby is now compared to Jefferson at the same point in his career. I have also been very critical of Tony Allen. I have to give credit where it is due because he has been terriffic lately!! In my opinion, if we get contributions from Allen and Davis, we will be unstoppable. Who here thought they would give major contributions this year?? Not me. What Heinson said last night was true. Detroit was at full strength last night and is a fully mature team. They are at their peak. We are getting better every day!!!
ya some icing on the cake would be to be able to blow som weak teams out here and there to get powe more garbage time. he seems to be very well liked by his teammates. same with pruitt. how awesome would it be to not have to seek the likes of gary payton or some other guy if we have what we need right here.i love eddie house but he may have to be reduced to more of a specialist role now.he’s really not comfortable under pressure. it’s all about the playoffs now. i have such faith in danny that if he thinks pruitt could REALLY help us this year then he’ll be whispering in doc’s ear. can’t argue with 3 losses though.wow.
gizmo,
Let’s not get too ahead of ourselves. Big Al will always be much better than Big Baby. Keep in mind they’re almost the same age.

cmoney,
It’s just my opinion. Davis has a higher b-ball IQ and a better touch around the basket. He can hit his free throws as well. Did you ever see AJ dominate a 4th Q against one of the elite teams on the road in his rookie season? I just think that he can be something special, especially in 3-4 years when he won’t be the 4th option at best! His development is ahead of Jefferson’s at the same point in their careers. Maybe that is the benefit of college??!!
