Perk & Pruitt Beat Nets
BOSTON (AP)—Gabe Pruitt got his chance to play with the starters, and he came out of it with all the bumps and bruises of the NBA regular he hopes to be.
"I haven’t played that many minutes since … ever," the Celtics’ second-year point guard said Sunday after playing almost 44 minutes in Boston’s 83-66 exhibition victory over the New Jersey Nets. "I think I showed that I could play with the Big Three. Putting me on the floor won’t be a step back."

Devin Harris was 0-8!! Wish I caught the game. Anyone catch why Pruitt had so many turnovers?

I was actually at the game and it didn’t seem like Pruitt has that many. He seemed very under control and definitely very effective. He always seemed to be around the ball (as you can see with his 12 rebounds).
I’m really excited about this team. They all definitely still seem hungry for more.

Pruitt had the ball in his hands alot and played 45 minutes. The turnovers didn’t bother me. A couple of overly aggressive passes. A pass that just went though his hands. I forget the others.
As far as the bench goes, Pruitt and BBD played very well. Powe, Miles, House, O’Bryant and Giddens (short stint) were ok. Bill Walker made too many mistakes, and TA had a bad game. Scalabrine was Scalabrine. Rondo and Cassell didn’t play.
