Our thoughts and prayers go out to Tommy and his and Helen’s families. This is going to be tough on Tommy.

Pierce's So-Called "Shooting Slump"
Mark Murphy remarked on this in today’s Herald. I’m too lazy to look up how many shots PP took in the last few games, but it really wasn’t necessary for him to take too many. In addition, the Raptors game plan was to stop PP. That worked well. I don’t think PP is in a slump. If his scoring was needed it would have been there. PP is just doing what the defense is asking for and doing, in each game, whatever he needs to do to help the team win. In the Raptor game PP and Rondo were ready to go back into the game near the end of the third quarter, probably to get into some rhythm so they could really go in the fourth quarter. PP took Rondo back to the bench, said something to the effect that the guys who were playing were doing so well that they should stay in there. Doc agreed. PP did get some minutes later on in the fourth quarter, but probably only to keep up conditioning and timing.

We are behind ya Tommy!
Obviously she was a great woman, and you did a great job of letting everyone know about it. Every Celtics fan knows how much she means to you, and she will always be with you in memory.
