3 Teams Shuffle Guards In Trade
The Wizards will receive New Orleans' Mike James and Memphis' Javaris Crittenton in the exchange, with the Hornets acquiring Washington's Antonio Daniels and the Grizzlies coming away with a future first-round pick.
Not sure if the Wizards will have James and Crittenton in time for the Celtics game on Thursday but at least we won't have to see Daniels and his wave-hand-in-his-own-face move that I've never understood. (never mind, that's DeShawn Stevenson who does that - I need more sleep)

Well since we're playing the Hornets the very next night....
…you’ll only get to avoid Daniels for an extra 24 hrs. But at least we only play the Hornets twice a year. ;-)

Nah
You’ll see him with New Orleans on Friday!
As a Hornets fan, I love this deal. James has been on the doghouse end of the bench for weeks. It’s like getting something for nothing.

yeah, we will still get to be treated to the face/hand thing…
good deal for NO, Daniels is a solid vet who can jump right into their rotation.

so technically
With Crittenton being traded away for a second rounder, Chris Wallace basically traded Pau Gasol to the Lakers for Geico Caveman Marc Gasol and a second rounder.
For what its worth, at least Geico Gasol has balls.

"I can't feel my face"
Tim Thomas seems to enjoy this as well – so much so that he was doing it repeatedly with the Knicks down 30 to Cleveland when I was at the Garden two weeks ago. What a joke.

TT did it first
There’s mention of it in Seven Seconds or Less.
You know you'll get devoured by Cheaney, Wallace, and Juwan Howard.

Yeah, I had thought so but wasn't sure
During that big playoff run in ’06, he was doing it every other play, it seemed. Thanks for clarifying, Pradamaster.

No, he traded Pau Gasol for Marc Gasol and three first round picks: the two he got from LA and the one he just got from the Wizards, which may well be a lottery pick.

No
the one he just got from the Wizards, which may well be a lottery pick.
The pick from the Wiz was the return of the conditional first-round pick the Wiz got from the Grizz in the Juan Carlos Navarro deal. It had protection up the wazoo and the Wiz would have only received it if the Grizz started making the playoffs in recent years. If that didn’t happen by 2013, it became a second-rounder.
So basically, the first-round pick really isn’t anything. Washington still has its pick this year.

great trade for Grizzlies
Crittendon was buried in Memphis. As a bonus, with the extra roster spot, we might see an Antoine Walker sighting. If Crittendon turns out to be a player, great for Washington. Otherwise, from NO’s and Washington’s standpoint, it’s junk for junk.
I would love to have the Geico Caveman on our roster.

Wave-hand-in-his-own-face
I believe that’s the universal gesture for “You can’t see me!”
