House Out For Tonight's Game
Celtics guard Eddie House will not play tonight against Utah due to the recent death of his aunt. Coach Doc Rivers said its uncertain when House would return to the team.
Best wishes to Eddie and his family.
I wonder if we'll see more Pruitt or an activated Cassell tonight?

Sorry Eddie...
Our thoughts are with you. I expect to see Cassell. Pruitt would get torn apart by DWill…
God bless and good night!
Why would Pruitt get torn apart by DWill?
Granted, Deron is a tough cover for any point guard in the league, but what makes you think a 39 yr old point guard, who wasn’t much of a defender at 29, and who hasn’t played in any game, preseason or regular season, would fair better than Pruitt? Gabe has shown the ability to play solid man defense in the time he’s gotten; he has the quickness and length to disrupt the man he’s guarding.
If Doc and Danny want to know what they have in Gabe Pruitt, now is a great time to get an idea.

That’s too bad for Eddie and his family. Everyone’s wishes are with them.
Yeah, Gabe gets some burn in a non-blowout setting, but Sam dresses just in case he’s getting burned. Wonder if we might see Ray (or even – GASP! – Tony) play a little bit of the point while Rondo’s on the bench. If they can get the ball across halfcourt, the rest of the team is good enough about passing the ball where we should still be able to run our offense.
Sam over Pruitt??? You're kidding
I agree with CeltsWhat35. BrickJames, have you been out of the country for 10 years because that is when Sam last played defense. Pruitt is #3 PG but he’s less a liability on defense than Sam. I doubt he’ll win man up against D.Williams but he hasn’t looked bad on defense and he can shoot the J. He just is very timid running the offense.
Great, now you've done it.
It occurred to me, but I figured if no one else mentioned it, that somehow Doc would never think of using Tony Allen instead of Pruitt.
