Is It true?
Deke Mutombo is coming to town? That would be a big defensive presence for the team. Not only would they be able to play Eddie House at the 2, that will allow Big Baby and Leon to move to the 4. If Eddie plays the 2, they could switch to a zone.
This would be the shot blocking the C's need down the stretch. When was the last time the C's had a shot blocking presence? I think it was McHale.
Be respectful and keep it clean. Thanks.

Hmmm...
Yup, they are. But, compared to Deke and Kevin McHale (during his time), Kevin was better at shot blocking than Perk and KG and Deke is probably the best shot blocker who is still playing (or who has not retired yet).

Stats
McHale in 13 years in the NBA blocked 1,690 shots in his career. KG has 1,698. But this is his 14th year. Perk has almost 400 in 5 years. While Mr. Mutombo has 3,278 in 17 years.

KG and perk shut down the lane - Mutumbo is welcome, but don't doubt that they make this defense
gotta remember that KG is so good at stopping penetration that he often just blocks out the sun and gets the impudient little gaurd to think better of his ideas. He reminds me of the adult holding the child’s forehead while the child swings away and cant reach him. Shot blocking can be like steals, you can get a lot of them if you are willing to leave your position but is that best?
