Sean Williams to the D-League

New Jersey just sent Sean Williams to the D-League.

No idea why.  Wasn't this guy a beast last year?  Does he really have that 6-10 frame?  Interesting.  I love this team but there is no denying that we are lacking a little length up front.  Extra guys on the roster at 6-10 plus don't have to be anything special they just need to be there for clogging the lane and taking fouls, for spot minutes, and by all accounts Williams was better than this.  If it is about discipline issues I too believe this team can help with that.

Be respectful and keep it clean. Thanks.

A beast?

In my view, he was just a bad basketball player. Weak, mediocre awareness, not very polished.

I’d trade POB for him though. Make it POB, Semih Erden’s draft rights and a 2nd round pick, if necessary.

Is this not the big guy from BC that was in trouble and fell in the draft, am I thinking of the wrong guy?

Now HE is a perfect project...

He’d fit right in here. imagine another legit shot blocker off the bench? He’s got a little game to him, just needs some space and a good system.

agree

I hope O’Bryant is really doing as much as he can to be relevant at this point.

Bleed Green. What does it mean?

Sure he’ll fit. Except sending a player to the D-League doesn’t make them expendable. Anyone here willing to trade Bill Walker for Jerome James and a second-round pick?

by kozlodoev on Dec 30, 2008 10:54 AM EST reply actions

it does indicate that they are expendable if the team that sends them down is actually a poor team in rebuilding mode, as opposed to the defending nba champs
