Ugly Win
But who cares!! Defense was awful, points in the paint way down. Won it anyway. You’re gonna have these during the course of a long season (and long winning streak). The truly great teams still find a way to get it done. Kudos to the Pacers, they played hard. Just not quite enough to do it again.

Another big win..
But i dont like how Rondo play this one. he is so cold on the floor.
Almost lost this one, thanx for the heroics of PP and RA, big shots
from dying seconds.
Another 1 bite the dust!! Go…….
P.S. – KG seems quite tonight (no taunting) but nice to watch..
20 big rebounds….Mental toughnes won this game..

Ray allen is on fire. Hes having the season i hoped he would last season. And its crazy that i can say that. wow.

Ray is the Silent Assasin on the floor.. Always wonderful to watch, just caught early on foul trouble.
What Doc Rivers is doing? He put Scalabrine on that overtime? Leon Powe or Tony Allen must be better (imo).
Great play by Pacers- theyre so lucky on every position, almost not missing every shot.

I disagree
I think Doc made the right decision by putting Scal on the floor. Scal is one of the smartest basketball players on the team. He made a dumb mistake tonight, but is a lot less prone to these dumb mistakes then Tony and Powe.

RayRayRay
Cold-blooded. Geez, he’s on fire. Good gutty win over a good team. Obie has the Pacers playing good D and they’re deadly from long range. Granger had a great all around game.
The C’s showed some mental toughness gutting this one out.

Just watched on my DVR....
….which cut off with the Celts down 1pt after Perk missed both FTs with 22seconds to go. I don’t know if I’d be more mad if we lost, or that I missed the PP shot and OT.
From what I did see…
Paul was very flat.
If Ray wasn’t on fire, we would have been destroyed. Eddie too actually.
The defense was lackluster.
When Perk was asked what he thought of Howard winning the gold medal this summer, he responded: "What’s his impression of me after I won a ring?"

I’d also add that if it was not for KG getting most of the boards the C’s probably lose.

good old ray was really good. he won this one and kg ate up the boards. we were outplayed most of the night and the experienced players knew what to do to win. too many minutes for the starters and the 2nd team is looking vulnerable. eddie plays great but he can’t penetrate. try pruitt with eddie the shooting guard and tony the small 3. even tho pp made that 3 to save the tie, he’s looked tired or disinterested.

This is like 4-5 bad games in a row from Pierce. He hit the big shot at the end of regulation, but otherwise played poorly. He looks like he’s going at half speed and I think he may be hurting.
Thank goodness they have three days off.

Days off
Yeah, I really hope the time off will help Paul. I still have confidence in him, especially because there’s a lot more to his game than just shooting and scoring. Good to see him hit the game-tying three after that hussle rebound by Eddie.
If I were a huge pessimist, I would be worried right now about the prospects of a Ray shooting slump. If that were to happen, we might really struggle. But I still think we have so many weapons that we can afford for guys to go off and on during the season – if Ray started to cool off, I’m sure Paul would step it up. Of course, the way Ray’s going now it doesn’t look like he’s going to cool down anytime soon.

Paquiao
I wonder if the Celts were affected by celebrating the Paquiao victory last night.
Just a theory.
Start of the 2nd with a 10 point lead would have been a perfect time to get Pruitt in the game on Jarrett Jack. Eddie would have still gotten his points, but the 2nd unit wouldn’t have been victimized on D. Might have been a very different story. Indy had no mojo in the 1st Q. If they didn’t get it going in the 2nd, they might have stayed cold all night and the C’s would have been in control. It was a very low risk time to get Gabe in. Couldn’t have been any worse than what happened.

great team work at the end
house chasing down that rebound pierce with that clutch shot kg getting the rebound at the other end i’m so glad they pulled this one out it so noone would blame themselves for making a mistake in the final minutes of regulation ray allen was an assassin all night and that dagger three at the end was amazing hope they gets lots of rest and come out swinging against the wizards

And another thing
They’re misusing BBD out at the high post. That’s not his game. Remember the Detroit game last year? If he’s not getting a bounce pass right underneath the basket, he’s just not that effective on offense. And he’s not rebounding or blocking shots either. I know most of the people on here don’t like POB. I’d play him some for Davis. If they double Powe, he can flip it up to POB across the lane for a slam dunk. You can’t do that with Davis. If POB is out at the high post, he can turn around and knock down that jumper, which Davis has been missing. On D, he might be softer than Davis when people back into him, but he rebounds better and he’s much more likely to get shot blocks.
They’re trying to fit people into positions that don’t work. EH is a 2, definitely not a 1. BBD is an energy 4, he’s not a high post 5. He’s not Perk, and he’s never going to be Perk. I know the Celtics have a system, but either they need to get the right people to play in the system, or they need to make adjustments for the players they have.
Either they get Pruitt and POB involved and prove they can play, or they’re going to need to make a trade. Yes, the C’s will still beat 28 out of 30 teams right now. I’m thinking ahead to Cleveland and LA and the playoffs.

100% right
dude – I agree with you 100% – while it is hard to complain about a 20-2 start there are some things that the celtics can do better and you just spelled them out. Pruitt and POB have to play now to get ready for the play offs. It is common sense. If they are not, then one can only conclude that the trade master is show casing talent (aka – sacls and bbd) to pull off another trade.

Good to see...
Perk playing more than 30 minutes.

They didn't play their best but, they give up.
There was a point last night right after Perkins and Pierce combined to miss 3 of 4 FTs and Jack made all 4 that I thought well that’s it let it go and live to fight another day. Then of course Paul who’s been struggling drilled the 3 to tie it and send it into OT. 20-2 and with more offensive firepower.
Tony Allen > Dearly departed JP

20-2 and room to improve
great news,we can get much better…Eddie is better as a shooter….TA is better taking bigger 3’s off the dribble….so let’s get a point and make that happen….then get a tall guy with long arms…we need 2 pieces and have 4 months to get’m….for 35mins a nite the starters are much better than last year
