Celtics Ready For Second Act
You can find my latest Metro article here.
Quick background: I actually wrote this just after the All Star break - and the bit about things getting hard in the second half of the season seems quasi-prophetic looking back at the West Coast trip. Anyway, here's the opening paragraph:
You would be hard pressed to script a better first half of the season than the one the Celtics played. Training camp was a prologue of camaraderie and Ubuntu. The team stormed from the gates like Henry V attacking the French. Three leading men took turns carrying the load, while supporting characters played their roles flawlessly.

But what have we learned from most epic tales (including “Star Wars†and “Lord of the Ringsâ€)? There are typically three parts to the story. The first act introduces the characters and settles the roles they will play. The second cct usually brings a turn for the worse and establishes a crisis for the protagonist. It isn’t till the third act that good overcomes, the enemy is defeated and they live happily ever after.
Nice piece Jeff. Did Tommy help you with the above paragraph. Sounds like Tommy-talk. Also, THERE WILL BE NO INJURIES. The Celtic’s answer to a higher calling. I think this team has passed every test that has come it’s way. Ray Allen seems to be finding his niche. We have a great chance to do it.
