no KG and they played really hard on the road and lost a close one to Lebron. Missing KG shows on the defensive side. But overall, I can live with this close loss.

yea, at some level, as gorman said, if lebron is going to make those shots, theirs not much defense ( 3 or 4 of his shots were fallaway’s that had no right going for a normal nba star, see most noticeably that 3 from 5 feet beyond the arc)
overall i thought they defended pretty well, especially with pierce battling the flu and KG out. but when bron-bron has a night like that, you really need all hands on deck. with 1 1/2 out of 3 stars, we still almost beat them, ill grudgingly take it.
another good game by rondo, he played a great game. made a 2nd year player mistake thinking he had gibson beat to the corner, but hey, sometimes thats going to happen. i hope he stays aggressive like this when kg is back, if him and allen stay aggressive, and kg and pierce keep their play where it was at already, this is an even scarier team.

Good game overall. C’s handed the ball over down the stretch. Can’t win a close game that way. I thought Pierce & TA did a decent job on Lebron. Just wsh they had managed to get him in foul trouble earlier.
Good calls by Doc in the last few minutes. C’s just couldn’t execute.

Actually it’s the other Cav players that beat us last nite. They hit shots that I haven’t seen them hit in the past. A better defensive effort on our part and we should have won. It didn’t seem to me that we were overplaying on James, but the Cavs got alot of open shots and alot of easy ones. TA did a great defensive job on James. This loss didn’t bother me as much as the Orlando loss, especially once I knew PP was sick. Now that’s a warrior.

not an artistic success either.they miss their defensive anchor,kg. that being said: 1. they never gave up.2.pp was obviously sick but hung in there gamely.3. even tho some poor judgements were made, overriding them was rondo being in charge and being decisive.4. a good game from ray.5. ditto tony. 6. ditto bbd.7. still overused, good mins. from scal. the negs. 1. they just did not look for ray or set him up in half 2. 2. rondo could pass out more assists. 3. posey was not his usual self on d and the boards. 4. lebron is great.

I totally agree about Rondo, crownsy. Rondo has made a significant jump with KG out. If he does this when KG is back, then we haven’t seen the C’s best basketball yet. The early blowouts relied a lot on 3 pointers falling. You can’t do that consistently. But, what Rondo is doing – forcing the action, challenging the interior defense – he can do that every night.

Small may not be the way to go vs the LeBronaires. Posy on Bron, Pollard on Ziggy?
ps Ray may be a clutch shooter but he doesnt have a sure handle.
