Streak Over
Sometimes a picture says a 1,000 words. And sometimes it says two emphatic ones. Streak over.

iknew the game was over before it even started. when that punk, rafer alston tried to walk thru rondo and rondo stood his ground… i will always love rondo for that. he showed the team was more than ready for the occasion. oh, by the way, the game exposed rafer as a pretty mediocre guard. tony and posey really hustled and smothered mcgrady and without yao- yaouch. lest hope with tony, it’s bruises and some rest will make him better and it looks like ray will be ready to come in. also- i missed tommy and mike doing the game.

The Cs picked up their D in the 2nd half. Powe had a terrific game. Nice to see Rondo stand his ground vs Alston.

That team won 22 in a row? Really?
Leon was the hero of the game, but Pierce came up big on the defensive end at the end of the first half to close the gap and then hit some big shots.

What a pair of wins! The win over the Spurs was dramatic, but last night the C’s flicked the ‘Dominate’ switch in the 3rd and just ran over the Rockets.
Great play from everyone. Excellent team win.

It must be demoralizing for other teams when the Celtics’ second unit builds a 20 pt lead and then Garnett comes back in.
Powe played well, but I give the majority of the credit to his teammates. In Q2 the Rockets were clearly cheating off Leon, who was wide open on several pick and rolls plus couple of times on the weak side. His teammates found him every time. In Q4 Glenn Davis made yet another excellent pass to a wide open Powe.
It’s the way the game is supposed to be played.

It was amazing how fast the TNT guys went from talking about the wonderful streak to how the Rockets could fall off the face of the Western Conference if they don’t keep it together after last night.
The Celtics blow out the Rockets to end the streak and I still feel like they are under the NBA radar a little bit.

T Allen and Posey played super D on McGrady.
I hope when Perk is on the bench he watches how Leon plays in the paint and how he finishes. I’m not sure why Perk hasn’t gotten it yet. Clearly the coaching staff sees what we see. It’s possible this is as good as he’ll get but he’s a hard working kid so I’m optimistic. He’s making catches that he fumbled last year so maybe next year he won’t be so easy to strip.
For all you guys who have been down on Doc. You gotta admit, he’s won with the Big 3 and he’s won with them out. He’s winning on the road. He’s winning with D. He’s winning with a young PG. He’s developed two nice young post players. He kept the team behind him last year and he’s got it behind him this year – both ends of winning spectrum. Has he done it alone? Of course not but he deserves his share of credit.

awesome game and great picture.
BTW, looks like there was a bit of contact on that play, but I don’t recall KG shooting the And1…
;D

I give Doc credit for letting Thibodeau do his thing. I love the defense. I still don’t like the offense. Too predictable. And I still don’t like the rotations.
Between now and the playoffs, Garnett, Pierce and Allen should NEVER play more than 30-32 minutes a night. The rest of the season is like a second preseason. They will shortly clinch home court throughout the playoffs, and after that, regular season wins and losses won’t matter.

That dunk was amazing and I loved on the TNT broadcast how right after they showed a Houston fan just sitting there in disbelief with her mouth wide open. The look on her face symbolized the game to me. Houston had no idea what happened to them. ;D

Great win! Love the KG photo, but it should have been the photo of the Rondo/Rafer standoff. ;D

Great win. We can let Ray Allen rest that ankle a few more games … no sense in getting back anything less than 100% the way this team is playing.

Brick- Saying that you give Doc credit for stepping to the side and not doing anything is not the same as giving Doc credit. Come on people!
I am not saying that there aren’t quite a few coaches that couldn’t come in here and win as well, but he is not hindering this team from being successful. Here’s some Doc strengths:
- Held a team that was getting smoked last year together and not allowing things to fall apart and allow in-fighting
- challenged PP when he came in to change the way he played which has resulted in some of his best seasons
- Helped keep the Big 3’s egos in check by balancing out minutes and shots, etc.
- Helped develop some pretty good players (Rondo, Big Al, Powe, Perk, Gomes) and had the courage to make them earn their minutes instead of handing them out. (BBD right now)
- Great Media person saying all the right things.
- Positive attitude even amongst troubled times
You can definitely make a list with his short-comings, but to try and pretend that he is terrible is a bunch of trash. For once give someone some credit without including the ’’but’’ in there or backhandedly insulting them at the same time.

It may sound strange, but I couldn`t disagree more.
I´m german, and I´ve read a german newspaper with a Dirk Nowitzki Interview. It´s pretty interesting, because Dirk obviously gives different answers to german newspapers than to american ones. He seems to be a bit more open and honest.
When they asked him about his first-round exit against GSW, he admitted that he did not carry his team as he should have.
But he also said that the Mavs Organization thinks it was because they secured the first seed so early, and the team did not gave 100% over the last two weeks. When the Playoffs started, they couldn`t switch into Playoff mode, they lost their mojo and momentum.
I agree with less minutes for GAP, but I think the team as a whole should take these last games bloody serious…
