Ainge Will Be Executive of the Year
I make the case for Ainge in my lastest Boston Metro article:
General managers around the league are making bold moves and taking big chances. But nobody has done more this year to build a championship contending team than Boston basketball boss Danny Ainge.

As he should be.
As I’ve said in a good thread on this board, those who think Danny planned his rebuilding this way are kidding themselves. He made mistakes – lots of them – and the result was argubly the worst Celtics team ever last season.
But when opportunity knocked to turn the mess around, Danny and Grousbeck got it done – aided and abetted by two GMs who took dimes on the dollar for their stars. For that, both of them deserve a ton of credit.
